AgentM Giveaway Tool

AgentM is dedicating to provide people everything about movies. However, over the years we have run a giveaway campaigns on Facebook. We have invested our time and money without knowing our audience more. AgentM Giveaway Tool is about creating an our own customer base and growing our web traffic, which would present a better mobile experience to AgentM audiences.

Preview giveaways on AgentM Facebook page

AgentM used to ran giveaways on facebook which our audiences can get the chance to win free movie tickets by liking our page, tagging your two friends under the post and repost on your wall. This kind of giveaway campaigns gave us a nice number of followers and traffic to our page. However it also brought up some critical problems. One, yes, we have 15,000 people like our page but most of them don’t care AgentM and don’t actively share our posts or engage in our posts. We should focused on quantity over quality. Two, Why invest time, money, and resources to grow audience on Facebook page which doesn’t own by ourself. Three, in 2017 Facebook began demoting posts from people and pages that use "engagement bait,” seeks to take advantage of Facebook News Feed algorithm by boosting engagement in order to get greater reach. https://newsroom.fb.com/news/2017/12/news-feed-fyi-fighting-engagement-bait-on-facebook/ While running a contest for your audience on Facebook is a smart marketing move, it does not need to be hosted on Facebook.

More important, social media should be used as a tool to bring customers to your won website, where you have full control. Therefore, in order to grow our customer base, owning our giveaways system that can directly manage and control will be the number one goal for the fist step.

 

PROCESS

Product Goals

The reason to run a giveaway for AgentM on our website is we are trying to achieve the main predetermined goal: increasing our website traffic. With this ultimate goal in mind, here is the product goals:

  1. Create Customer Base: we want to know who is interested in movies well. In the giveaway system we add the OOBE to promote why AgentM is good to them.

  2. Accessible and Efficiency: we believe the giveaway system should provide the easiest experience to the user. It shouldn’t take more than 5 steps to finish the whole process. Besides, mobile-friendly is very important to AgentM since more than 50% of audience use mobile devices from our Google analytics.

  3. Controllable: a flexible template can be used for different contexts and needs to be easy to manage

  4. Opportunity to Grow: provide relative articles in the giveaway process to bring traffic back to AgentM websites.
